ELLE ONE WALL FOR THE URBAN NATION UNITY PROJECT

  • MAY 24, 2018

  • BY TEAM URBAN NATION

The collage-like images of the graffiti artist ELLE are now her trademark. For URBAN NATION she created a unique ONE WALL in Wienerstraße 42. The mural with the title “We are many, but allways one” shows important women from different historical epches. Although each one stands alone, but together they stand for timeless debates on women’s rights.

This piece depicts many women- but the “third eye” is that of the Mona Lisa. As they stand there- powerfully- holding a piece of a glacier, in front of glacial melt- they ask the question- What is the real art here? Perhaps it is the nature that we are destroying? Ideally- if we all work together, using all of our forces we can mitigate and solve the issues of global warming- and protect the true art and beauty that lies before us.

This is a collaboration with artist PARADOX who started the “Berlin Kidz” who rappel down buildings to paint graffiti.

Elle was one of the many artists who created from the 13th to the 19th of May one of the ONE WALLS for the UNITY project of URBAN NATION. Together they turned eight gray facades into unique works of art during the Berlin Mural Fest.
