DARANIKI MYALL (Meaning: Wild Land in Laragiya, the Aboriginal Larrakia language in Darwin).

Location: Austin Lane, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. The "firehawks" The Black Kite take twigs that have caught on fire from lightening storms and spread wild fire to the bush to scare out food. The woman is composed of Aboriginal and Chinese potratis- who immigrated in great numbers during the gold rush in Darwin in the 1900s. The woman is surrounded by local flora and fauna, as well as a halo of pearls, and gold in the foreground- both part of this history of industry here. 2018.
